I was excited to get this "book". As a long time Krav Maga student I wanted to support this "book". It is only 35 pages and it is poorly written. The grammar is bad and the book doesn't flow at all. The "book" seems, to me, to just be a collection of Internet searches thrown together in a 35 page format.

Someone who understands it as far is possibel

The Cloud of Unknowing is a classical on christian mysticism. It is, with Saint John of the Cross, the Pseudo-Dyonisius, and a few others, one of the best ways to somehow understand what mysticism. I say "somehow", because the highest mysticism is a contact (through love) with the Transcendence (God). Understanding the real mysticism is not common, you have to have some experience of it or at least have a kind of "feeling" for it. Well, the author of this book, William Johnston, knows very well (again, as far it is possible) what he is talking about. His book should be rated as one excellent work on The Cloud of Unknowing. So, if you want some introduction before reading The Cloud of Unknowing itself, this book by William Johnston is certainly an excellent one.

His titles include Illustrated Firebird Buyer's Guide, Illustrated Chevrolet Buyer's Guide, How to Restore Automotive Trim and Hardware, and many more. He is the former editor and publisher of Old Cars Weekly, and continues to contribute to that publication's blog. A Top Quality Applied and Theoretical Book

I had the chance to read this book first with the intention to get insights to solve a problem related with invariant measures and harmonic analysis. I found out that the reading was an enjoyment for myself, mainly because of the way it presents important results in the measure theory and probability theory contexts related with the Fourier-Stieltjes Transform or the Characteristic Function. Moreover, it shows and proves important results which offten need to be used or at least considered now on applied topics like for instance Financial and Actuarial Mathematics. I consider that this book is a classic.

I like this book because it just does what it sets out to do, provide a brief description of lots of useful tools for managers. No hype and no overblown claims. The chapters are divided into different management activities and then the most common tools used in those activities are listed with a brief description, business application and other useful info.

Another very useful book but from a different direction is Thinking Visually: Business Applications of 14 Core Diagrams

About the Author

Allison Parrish is an artist and programmer, currently residing in Brooklyn. She has 10 years of professional programming experience, with an emphasis on programming for the Web.

Ben Fry has a doctorate from the MIT Media Laboratory and was the 2006-2007 Nierenberg Chair of Design for the Carnegie Mellon School of Design. He worked with Casey Reas to develop Processing, which won a Golden Nica from the Prix Ars Electronica in 2005. Ben's work has received a New Media Fellowship from the Rockefeller Foundation, and been shown at the Museum of Modern Art, Ars Electronica, the 2002 Whitney Biennial, and the 2003 Cooper Hewitt Design Triennial.

Casey Reas is a professor in the Department of Design Media Arts at UCLA and a graduate of the MIT Media Laboratory. Reas' software has been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions at museums and galleries in the United States, Europe, and Asia. With Ben Fry, he co-founded Processing in 2001. He is the co-author of Processing: A Programming Handbook for Visual Designers and Artists (2007) and Form+Code in Design, Art, and Architecture (2010). A Python 'port' of a classic introductory text

This book is a Python version of the Reas/Fry classic "Getting Started with Processing". It's designed to be used with the "Processing.py" variant of the popular Processing toolkit, and therefore includes all of the same examples and discussions -- but ported from Java to Python. As a bonus, it includes some examples in data visualization (and dealing with JSON files) that were not part of the original.

So, who needs this book? In my opinion, it's ideal for students or educators that subscribe to the creativity-oriented Processing philosophy of introductory programming, but who (for whatever reason) prefer to start with the Python language instead of Java. This book will be great for weeklong workshops, or the first few weeks of an introductory course in middle school, high school, or early undergraduate education.

It's important to point out that this book is NOT a comprehensive introduction to the Python programming language -- of which there are already many good ones -- any more than the original book by Reas and Fry is an "introduction to Java". Instead, this book gets you quickly to the point of being able to make interactive things in Python-Processing. If anything, it introduces Python programming through concrete examples rather than abstract principles.

I wanted to like this book but as far as I can tell it's almost a re-print of Getting Started with Processing. There is very little Python in this book.
